Ways to Give
Every gift you make helps WakeMed improve health care for our community. Whether large or small, one-time or recurring, part of your estate plan or the result of a successful fundraiser, making an investment through the WakeMed Foundation is a rewarding experience.
- Give Now
Make an online gift today. Your gift transaction is safe and secure. There are many ways that you can contribute. You can donate once or give a recurring gift. You can make a donation to honor or in memory of a loved one or to recognize a special caregiver. Or, you may sponsor one of our fundraising events.
- Planned Giving
A planned gift or bequest gives long-term support to WakeMed and can help you achieve financial objectives while meeting philanthropic goals. It is the first step in creating a lasting legacy for our community's future health care needs. If you would like to contribute through a bequest, annuity, life insurance, trust, or retirement plan, please contact us at 919-350-2966.
- Make a Gift of Securities or Stock
The WakeMed Foundation accepts securities traded on the New York Stock Exchange, the American Stock Exchange and the NASDAQ National Market as outright gifts, payments towards pledges, or to fund certain deferred gifts.
- Plan a Major Gift
Major gifts are critical to help fund urgently-needed capital projects. Some past projects that have been accomplished, in large part, because of major gifts are the Rehabilitation Hospital, Children’s Emergency Department, Heart Center, Mobile Critical Care, the Children’s Hospital, and renovation and expansion of the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. We work closely with you to make sure your philanthropic goals are met. Please call 919-350-7656 for further information.
- Make an In-Kind Donation
Donating items that can be used for fundraising events, hospital staff or patients can be a rewarding way to contribute.
- Corporate Giving
Businesses in our community can make a difference in the quality of health care by making a corporate gift, starting an employee giving campaign, creating a cause-related marketing program, or by sponsoring or hosting a fundraising event.
